Why did you decide to join the MIP Steering Committee?

I decided to join the Steering Committee because MIP was invaluable to me during 2020. Therefore, I wanted to give back to assist other new mayors with their transitions into office.

What makes MIP unique from other organizations?

The opportunity to speak to your peers and colleagues who hold the same office and are literally going through the same challenges as you sets MIP apart from other organizations.

If you could give one piece of advice to a new Mayor on what you’ve learned in your role, what would it be?

Make the right decisions even if they are not the most popular decisions and stay true to your values.
