Being a mayor in 2020 has elevated the regular challenges of this role to a whole new level. Now more than ever, mayors need tangible, replicable ideas that they can implement now.
Today we’re launching our Virtual Innovation Showcase, a digital version of a much-loved staple of our in person meetings. In 3 minutes or less, mayors share (and others learn from) a high road policy or program idea that they’ve successfully implemented.
We are kicking off today with Mayor Keith James, West Palm Beach, FL, who shares how his city organized quickly to establish COVID-19 response units.
We want to hear from you!
The COVID-19 crisis presents a crucial opportunity for innovation in cities – we want to hear from you. What’s your great city-level idea that you’ve implemented, and how can other cities make it happen.
Priority will be given to member cities, but we welcome all good ideas.
The Innovation Showcase is a popular mainstay at our in-person meetings and, while we can’t meet in person, we’re excited to provide this virtual format to support cities through the pandemic. Check out previous showcase materials at our past meetings here.
